I constantly feel like the people I love are going to get in some tragic accident or just be a victim of some mass killing.

I'm a very controlling person and I don't like the unknown, I don't like knowing that when people leave my vicinity anything could happen. Obviously I understand that the odds of something like that are extremely small, but... @porter-andersen09 take it from here.

idk if ur trolling but meditation and remembering that your thoughts are not you help a lot. Let the thoughts come and go, without judging them or putting weight on them.

of course, i used to struggle with this too but it eventually went away on its own. It’s likely not a permanent issue, especially if you are going through a high stress period in life

I have suspected it, yes. People in my family have it.
its likely i have ocd and since a kid i have these intrusive thoughts that bad things will happen to people i love, or things will happen if i dont do XYZ. try to think of a sentence and say it silently everytime u have that thought like "i am safe, x(the person or whatever) is safe, my brain is making it up"

basically keeps yourself sane

Idk, I've never talked to anyone about being diagnosed with anything. I don't think I have autism, but OCD is possible.
i just thought it since you said abt not wanting anything to go out of your plan
