I posted a video on TikTok where I pretend to be a young single mother who starts selling scented candles, and I managed to get a lot of views and many people want to place orders. Now I’m thinking about creating a website through Shopify and launching and selling. How big is the chance that I actually get reported and face consequences? I mean, there are tons of dropshipping companies that don’t even deliver their products. Should I just go for it?

make it overprices but actually ship. no one can sue you for that

I’m gonna do it, I’ll just link the shit from Alibaba, but can’t you get in trouble for false advertising?
yes, but its almost never worth suing over. and as long as you described described exactly what you are doing somewhere on the website it is perfectly legal, bc the customer got what they wanted

But yeah, it’s still false advertising.
