I'm scared of uni now
just don't go to some program with giga nerds. I remember doing my other field (chem) and the work was just so chill. Here I actually need to put some effort.

But yeah, if you get a nice friend group I assume you'd be way more motivated to study, due to peer pressure and such.

Don't be scared, I'm just a r****d

Thoughts on engineering or pharmacy degree?

I think they are just more chill and getting work will be much easier as the jobs are curated to your actual courses.

Do you think engineering or pharmacy has good job safety? And do you have any knowledge about the pay? I live in Europe, but if you want me to get more specific we can PM.

I don't have a clue, tbh. I'd assume it is great once you get a job, but getting one might be a bit hard in the beginning. Or that's just what i've overheard.

Pay depends largely on the country, in Finland all uni STEM degrees have a good pay, like 5k a month and a little upwards potential, but yeah, it's nothing like in the US with 100k+ salaries, unless you get managerial postitions

If I had one of those degrees I would have moved to the U.S for the pay but my online friends all tell me no and that they want to move over to where I am, it's very bad right now.

A part of why STEM pays so well in America is the general population being too stupid and lazy to pursue those careers so there’s always high demand

Do a lot of students really not pursue it over there? There has to be another reason besides them being too stupid and/or lazy if that is true at all?

Well I said partially the reason

It’s similar with tech

We have a lot of foreigners in both industries

Expenses and resources are also a factor

But from the amount of people that would rather play basketball or become an influencer or CNA I’d say it’s a legit reason
