I wish I could sit there with an idle body but with idle thoughts as well. I see videos of gorillas just sitting in their enclosures looking as if they’re in deep thought but they’ve nothing in their minds because they haven’t a “mind”, or at least not a mind in the same way we do. They can sit for 100 hours straight without boredom or anxiety. There’s nothing pushing them forward toward the precipice of action. But, us sick, plagued apes with a brain that knows it exists, are doomed to a life of activity, thought, memories, and dreams. I just wish we could have peace and not know it was peace.

In a way animals are what all the humans PUAs preach about living in the moment slop

Animals can’t imagine the future at all so they are always living in the moment that means they are much happier but also much sadder since they can’t cope with tomorrow being better or anything
