And I hate it when people tell me its a superpower. It's not. I'd give one of my kidneys and literally everything else I have to be neurotypical. Or to get to relive my childhood, but as a neurotypical kid. I've missed out on so much. I still do. And im never getting that back. It's not fair. I think about that often, its so depressing to me.

Autism is usually an excuse for most people to act without restriction - when socializing or behaving online.

I mean, I know im autistic. I've been diagnosed and my social struggles are far from the only thing I deal with. I definitely wouldn't say its an excuse, I am unable to (among many other things) control my tone of voice, identify when im being rude and sometimes when others are being rude to me, and struggle with sarcasm a lot which has led me to be bullied significantly in the past. I dont really act without restriction at all, so if that were the case and I had that advantage, I dont know of it and I haven't been using it. I also deal with other things of course. I lose ability to function when its loud and often start crying in public when that happens, which is deeply, deeply humiliating and not something id do just to act out. I understand some pretend to have it for this purpose but thats definitely not my case.

Ignore every other input regarding autism.

I've never been as severe, but the moment I ignored the potential influence of autism in my social life - it became infinitely easier for me to communicate via channels of a normal person.

I've always been quite hyperaware of my autism and how it impairs me, so I do wonder what would happen if I tried doing that too. I might try this
