I’m a girl and I’m 5’3 and 19 so my growth plates are already closed. My parents aren’t very tall either my mom is 5’0 and my dad is 5’8.

I struggle a lot with my height. Even though i know a lot of people consider shorter women feminine or even the beauty standard, i just don’t feel good about it. Clothes rarely fit me the way i want them to, and i feel really self conscious whenever i'm around taller girls.

I don’t even want to be very tall. I’d honestly be happy if i were around 5’5/5’6. I always have to wear heels just to still end up being shorter than most people.

I also want to have kids someday, and im scared they’ll end up feeling the same way i do if they inherit my height. I know this probably sounds irrational, but it’s something that genuinely worries me.

Like sometimes i even think that maybe not having kids are going to save them from this curse.

Has anyone else felt like this? If you did, how did you learn to accept it?

Shorter girls are better imo

Oh no the Steak is too juicy

you dont have to worry a lot, i mean Genetics matter the most for height, but they're not everything. Height is controlled by hundreds of genes, so two short parents can still have a tall kid if they inherit the right gene combo. Nutrition and childhood health also affect whether you actually reach your genetic height potential.

try being short as a guy
