unfriend others for having differing political views or ideologies.
yeah politics are a huge aspect of your life and morality but just because you come to a disagreement with someone doesnt mean you should jeopardize a whole friendship over that.
Having different perspectives is a normal part of relationships and should be more normalized imo and instead people should focus on finding a middle ground and learning to move past it

i might be on my own on this but thoughts

"I can’t be friends if they‘re not for all human rights" and completely ignoring the actual points the other person makes
i agree i think its unrealistic to expect someone to agree on everything with you

What could you possibly be talking about? What makes going against human rights ok? What point could possibly be so important that it overrides the rights of people?

Depends, like identity politics are non-negotiable but everything else is an either or thing.

Will depends because an extreme far right and an extreme far left are too brainwashed to even agree of simillar points and discuss properly without throwing buzzwords around

"going against human rights" did i even bring up an ideology or a scenerio for you to draw that conclusion

any extremist of any political ideology is brainwashed but this pertains more to "smaller" political disagreements

for sure its very case-dependant but im more so talking about ppl that are like "i cant be friends with you bc youre a conservative" i just find that dumb

yeah but u didnt even give a counterargument for why u think its stupid
So those are two different comments one of which was not for you. I don’t need to argue with you to think your take is stupid I’m not interested in trying to change your mind.

i understand that its two different comments thats not the point
i just think its a bit vain or at the very least dismissive, to call an opinion stupid without give any reasoning behind it. im not asking for a debate or trying to change your mind its just a little counterintuitive especially when youre being rude for literally no reason

Your take is bad and you’re obviously very ignorant of the world if you think political views aren’t important in a friendship 🤷‍♀️ I don’t really care what you think about me dismissing your opinion because it’s a dumb one

when did i say political views arent important in a friendship? i said that they shouldnt hold so much value in the sense where they can jeopardize a friendship. seems like you didnt even read what i had to say and just formed an opinion which is dumb in itself.

you also didnt dismiss the post in that sense, you obviously cared enough to share your opinions but didnt wanna expand on it which shows your ignorance if anything.

this post is exactly for people like you honestly who jump to conclusions and be rude to people over simple disagreements instead of engaging with what i actually said.

💀 if they do matter in friendships than why should they not hold weight to end a friendship? I don’t argue with children on here it’s a waste of time

because its quite literally dumb??
i never said political views should never end a friendship, I said they shouldn't automatically end one just because people disagree. there's a difference between someone holding a fundamentally incompatible value and two friends disagreeing on politics

and saying that right after asking me a question is a little ironic. If you don't want to discuss it, that's fine, but then don't pretend you've refuted my point when u initially replied and still haven't actually addressed what I said. not to mention being blatantly rude on top of all this just shows more abt ur character than mine

I’m not refuting your point I think it’s dumb and I’m an evil bitch everyone knows that
