Nah most of the time it's sarcasm. Girls are doing lesbian jokes with their friends and it didn't end-up as hooking-up. Same with men.
I would be careful of men with too strong homophobia tho

If your real biggest fear is that men suddenly do not give you attention anymore just as your dad didn‘t then why don’t you just accept that you don’t need every older mans attention to be happy?
