For those who didn’t know, my school forced me to attend self-image classes. There were about 16 sessions, each lasting a full two hours, which honestly felt like a waste of time most of the time. But today was the final session, and something interesting happened.
One of the girls came up to me and told me that back in the first session, she thought I looked really good and carried myself like someone with a lot of confidence. Apparently, that made an impression on her because, as it turns out, she basically became my secret admirer. She admitted that throughout the course, she had been paying attention to me, talking about me in a positive way to her friends, and just generally looking up to me.
I wasn’t expecting that at all, especially since I never really saw these classes as anything special. But it’s funny how people notice things about you that you don’t even think about yourself.
