Lifefuel / Motivation I JUST WENT TO THE GYM FOR THE FIRST TIME!! (Gtfih)

They both determine how much muscle you grow that’s hypertrophy from volume
I don’t argue with 8-12 reps for noobs but
he didn’t even say how many reps he did.
Pick up an article and you’d see 4-5 sets is optimal for noobsView attachment 326744
You start off with 4 to 5 to be safe from injury and go up from there. Adding in different exercises to same muscle groups.
And don’t you dare argue with THE science based body builder
yeah id reccomend 2 sets to mimimize fatigue while also getting great muscle stimuli

I'm not sure if you've been to the gym before or not, but science based lifting often has multiple layers of nuanced misconstrued in its studies that doesn't reflect on real world scenarios.

advice can vary from source to source.

my advice is, don't be stupid like this user.

dont train with no effort, train WITH effort, that's typically where you see the proformance increase.

Said nothing to refute any claim
Just typing shi

don't lift more, and waste more fucking time. Just lift harder you fucking stupid user.
well lifting more will give better stimuli js matters how well you recover, 5-8 rep range is on average best but if you can train 12 reps to failure and recover perfectly fine then you should

I mean i was the youngest, no teenager in sight, and also my first day, reason of ehy i presume they didn't make me push that hard

I did 3 sets of chest supported rows

Another 3 of the same excercise but with a diff grip

3 sets of Lat pulldowns

3 sets of tricep extensions

And overhead tricep extensions

Crunches

And like a total of 15-20 minutes of light cardio between the start and end of the session

It wasnt that destroying, also because they made me use a slightly lighter weight to start with (generally 20 kg on machines), but it feels good to be in an actual gym

Ill get my full plan in a week or so

Feels good
Good stuff 😁

pardon me for not saying it verbatim.

doing less reps with MORE WEIGHT will make your workout shorter, and make you look like less of an idiot.

sorry for the confusion. that's entirely what I meant.

Noobs should stay in a 8-12 rep. Perfect mix of resistance and control for beginners
Which means only way to improve muscle growth is do more sets bc more volume means more muscles. Most muscle is built in those last few reps so you can get close to failure reps more often with more sets which would cause more hypertrophy

That’s why
Anything dumb you said< 4-5x8-12 for noobs

if youll refer yourself to my previous mesags, is said that exact rep range.

I altered the set count, and set a limit to 3, after work in sets.
next time, please be mindful when you say things for the sake of saying something, as it costs electricity and my time to reply for no reason, thankyou.

Bro is tryna argue less volume is gonna match more volume in hypertrophy

do i have to spell it out for you twice. This user has no idea that increasing the WEIGHT is another thing that will increase strain.

iq only bound by their looks out of 10 - whatever ratio that is.

decimal point iq, ill be nice and round up in the tenths section. please stop having oppinions, because theyre just stupid and wrong.

if you are truly failing at 8-12 reps why would you increase weight?
Then you wouldn’t hit 8-12……

this is sadly false, after 2-3 sets, muscle growth increases drop dramatically, exact same w reps. at that point your just gaining fatigue for minimal growth which in the long run is going to mean u gain less for more time in the gym
