yeah a lot of things happened in my life to the point where I'm just really distrusting of others, I like being around other people but I just feel like they're lying or have ill intentions if they're nice to me

what you're asking for is genuinly hard to get bcs you don't really trust anyone
maybe try lowering your guard just enough to actually get to know people and extend some trust but keep your awareness intact,
don't do it blindly and if there are any red flags , you'll spot them immediately and you can always stopping talking to that person whenever you want
