for the longest time i’ve always assumed everyone hates me, but honestly? this has fucked me over so many times because it means i only realise girls like me months after the fact. and has also meant i never make plans with my friends because i assume they wouldn’t want to spend time with me.
anyone else here handicap themselves like this?

yesterday i was procrastinating asking my friends to hang out with me for my bday
i havent done this for any of my previous birthdays but i thought i would this year
havent asked em yet

bro, twin, istg i was also doing this on my bday. it ended up in me just straight up not inviting them and eventually my mum had to step in and invite them. but they didn’t come cus they all had plans, but in the end it all worked out cus instead of that we just had a sleepover and like, an adventure through the bush and it was genuinely great.
so yeah, invite em, they might not come but even if they don’t you could probably use it to organise later “post-birthday” stuff

sometimes i even don't text people/text people back because i feel like im too annoying and they don't ACTUALLY want to hear from me, they're just being polite
my friend texted me earlier to ask to hang out in a few days and i immediately shot her down because i was so stuck in the idea that she asked someone else before me (she didn't btw) or that it was out of pity
it's a terrible cycle
i hope u can see none of what u said is true and that people DO like u and no one (that matters) hates you
