I hate learning and reading through the screen, It's hard for me to even stay focused for an hour or so

Mean while if you give me a textbook, a few notebooks and some pencils, I could sit down and grind through for the whole day

I wanted to do actuarial science but my parents didn't let me and just wouldn't budge

i dropped out, shits ass and ai is taking over
I'll tank it and try to work towards embedded systems engineering

Worst case scenario I work for my Dad

Your parents control your career ? that so sad
Yeah

CS is so bad. You kinda have to grind it to not get fucked by the AIs

I would switch majors if you don't find the motivation.
I saw job listings in my area and even for entry level positions you are expected to know full stack development or settle for a somewhat cruddy salary

Mostly web dev jobs which I'm sure would be easy to automate for the most part ( not wholly but a company could maybe run with just a few developers )

Embedded systems and jobs that deal with legacy codebases and languages pay way more but they are harder to learn and get into for obvious reasons. I'm a fast learner so I'm going for it

My parents I don't think are gonna budge because they are really rigid people so I might finish my first year and switch to a dedicated software engineering course in the same university. It's a well known one and provides me a 1 year internship with a few companies and a few very major companies if I exceed a certain GPA and fit a few extra criteria

Hopefully that would be enough to land me a decent job

do smt that still has status for parents like law or engineering
I can't do law in my country for a specific reason I won't get into and engineering is oversaturated here

You gotta be on amphetamines. You gotta be aiming to be better than your classmates. You have to prioritize it over everything else. It’s really fun and there is no point in worrying about your career if you are one of the best. I might pick it up again but i have a feeling that i’m going to be in a people oriented position in the future. If you don’t know what to do then sell drugs but do it right and commit yourself to it

Switch to business and chill
