the whole argument was him saying muh googles mainstream = its more private and secure
I mean vs self hosting I imagine Google engineers are better at administrating secure servers often
But Google is heavily performance oriented
I imagine they compromise in favor of performance often
Either way they are definitely not private, because they can read everything and know everything about you.
There's also many info leaks in google products as well as their browsers that people don't expect. It's an abhorrent take really
Its like saying systemd is more secure because its more mainstream
