From my perspective, I feel like everyone is so obsessed with looks because they’re just chasing a 'Stacy' or a 'Chad' but does that actually matter in the end?

Love (that intense romantic passion) only lasts between 7 months to two years at most. After that, you start seeing their flaws and they begin to feel ordinary; the spark just fades. This is a natural human process. After a while in any relationship, you lose that 'rush' and get used to everything the intimacy, and even the way they look.

"Evolutionary psychology studies suggest that physical attraction is influenced by what’s known as the 'Coolidge Effect.' This is the tendency among mammals primarily males, and to a lesser extent, females to lose sexual interest in a familiar partner and feel a drive toward new ones. In humans, this instinct is often suppressed by emotions and social values, but biologically speaking, 'habituation to looks' is a proven fact.

The whole thing is a waste of time. Take care of yourself, but don't go overboard with it
