no you dont, even from personal experience i have dated someone i initially had no intrest in, but fell in love with her personality. Then became insanely attracted to her, after we broke up the attraction faded.
As you go through life you will probably experience this, attraction to their appearance does not create attraction to their personality, but attraction to personality does bring attraction to appearance.
Some couples one is so ugly compared, but they still love each other equally, because they developed that love through bonding.

And i think its a more beautiful type of love, where the initial relationship was not build off physical appearance but whats inside. No matter if your partner gets brutally disfigured you will still love them regardless

That is beautiful, i have also dated someone i wasnt attracted to. After we broke up, the attraction faded aswell.
maybe it could be i was immature but i did not show much interest initially, so that is why i said that.
