The current state of the world is probably best it’s ever been to have kids. Education, healthcare, opportunities, less poverty, life quality in general honestly children now have it way too good because of all these helicopter parents, they behave like fucking apes

Yes but if you compare to the past, most children today have access to education whereas it used to be something mainly for the rich or families had to choose which child they could afford to send to school. Also child mortality is also nowhere near as bad as it used to be, losing children was tragically common not that long ago
Plus there’s now a lot more government support for parents like healthcare, schooling, benefits and in most developed countries you generally don’t have to worry about literally starving which was a real concern for most families historically
And obviously not everyone can afford a big house, vacations, or expensive hobbies but that’s never been the reality for the majority of people at any point in history. There have always been rich and poor. The difference is that even poorer families today on average have a higher standard of living and more security than poorer families in the past
