Popular people desperately care what pthers think of them so theyll forego any personality style or inner world to socially acclimate and play a safe role. They are social animals who fill their internal void with lots of shallow connections. Thats why they all shittalk eachother.

during 8th/9th grade i befriended some NT girls
not exactly popular still pretty nt, and it was the fakest friend group ever it fell completely apart in a year

i was bullied by both guys and girls
the girls weren’t that bad they would just come to me calling me “bestie” or asking me questions but i’m pretty sure they were doing that to laugh at my face
the popular guys would call me weird, ugly and then ask me out as a joke, flirt with me and stuff just to laugh at my face
