It’s really refreshing to see someone else with this line of thinking especially in a space like this.
Sad? Maybe. Idk what to think of it. To me it’s rather frustrating and cyclic. But it doesn’t really matter what I think. It’s about convincing the masses, which religion without a doubt does effectively. From that point of view, I respect it, because at the end of the day these people are desperate for something to make them hole, and if religion is what does it for them then so be it.
The issue tho is when u take it and make it into something it’s not and also use it to superimpose ur beliefs and reality onto others without direct consent. Then we have problems. That’s where the frustration kicks in. I also have an issue with using it to brainwash kids and those who wouldn’t know any better in general. There are many grey areas and if I’m being real the consequences that come with something like religion are not worth the perceived benefits in my opinion for all of humanity. How many deaths have been justified in the name of a god that cannot be proven and also a god that is one of many based on the thousands of religions that exist? Too many questions, not enough direct replicable empirical answers and too many stupid desperate people add up to a result that essentially means death chaos and destruction. I hope u get what I’m saying. If not it’s ok, but at the end of the day even tho we all have a choice to make we owe it to ourselves and our fellow humans to think things through clearly and come to the most righteous and just and rational choice and im highly critical on any religion being the answer in this context. Good day.
