I don't want to bring children into a world like this, also I refuse to have kids if I'm not financially stable, scared of pregnancy would rather adopt. I also think I have underlying health issues, probably wouldn't affect pregnancy though. I think having kids would be fun, but eh. wbyu?

Wow! You're the first anti-natalist who said exactly what I wanted to say. I was also going to say (if asked, of course) that the world is a shitty place and I don't want them here, basically in a way to keep them safe, so that no harm befalls on them. Also I don't want them to grieve me or miss me when I'm gone. Other anti-natalists, they generally don't give selfless reasons such as these, they usually say they just dislike kids or hate them. That's why I am impressed by your answer.

Like you, I think having kids would be nice but this isn't about me. On the one hand, I'd want to adopt an orphan but on the other hand, I know a child needs both a mother and a father figure so it's not going to be a good idea to adopt any since I'm probably just staying single my entire life (I'm almost at the stage OP is talking about, I turn 30 at the end of the year).

100% agree, the world is so evil who knows what could happen to them. I also like your point on how you dont want them to grieve over you, but I think everyone will experience grief once in their life, even if its a pet, or a stuffed animal. Having a mother & father figure is defiently important too. Even though some situations with parents can be not the best, its still a decent example.

I'm glad you agree, it's rare to find like-minded people. And yes, I know what it's like to grieve so I don't want to be the cause of that myself. And you're right, I should have added that the parental figures need to be proper, and not abusive.

It's uh, I'm a dateless 29 year old KHHV truecel (means I'm hideous), but at the same time I can't fall in love. I pretty much lost interest in women, and even if I were to find a woman, in my circles they all want to have children so it's a bad idea, staying alone is probably the best option. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. Besides, I'm used to being alone anyway.

I'm glad you like my profile picture. To me,. Tokyo Revengers is absolutely beautiful, I don't want to give any spoilers but the underlying idea behind it; it just moves me. I mean, what's not to love about a guy who's desperately trying to make things right. I understand not everyone feels the same way but that's ok. I loved it, it's one of my favorite anime (I don't really watch a lot of anime).

Don't look to your friends or a popular consensus for what you should look for in a man. Know what you like and don't like, and don't be influenced about that by society.

It's fine I don't mind. I get what you're saying though, when you've never experienced something, you crave so much, eventually you want to give up. When did you lose interest in women if you don't mind me asking?

Funnily enough I don't actually crave a relationship. I don't mind you asking at all, I'm an open person but I've already derailed this thread (apologies to OP!) so I'll quickly tell you in PMs.

You should! I'll get you a link if you are interested. To date it's the only manga I read because I wanted to know how it ends (I'm glad I did). It was very relatable.
