Nobody would prefer to live without a fundamental aspect of "Natural" human life missing, but the unfortunate truth of this world is that even those "natural" humans who were biologically programmed to "have a family", the majority of them did NOT get to reproduce and have said family. If I could magically find true love no shit I'd wanna do it, but seeking it in the current generation is a waste of time and effort

If you are not religious, or do not believe you will be judged for your actions afterwards, why would you care about some legacy once you die?


Napoleon cannot feel any of the glory he receieves in modern day history class, because he is no longer in existence (napoleon was an athiest, i believe)

When I told this to my parents a while ago, they were talking about how that's a bad mindset and some such, but they themselves dont believe in heaven and hell as literal places where you go, so i have no idea why they'd disagree.
 
To be honest if you put everything aside, hooking up with random dirty bitches just for the erection is too low for my own self.

most people here are lukewarm christians, they'll claim they are christian without having read the bible or understanding fundamental truths about their own religion, my mother thinks her soul will just go up in the air and thats the end of life, but if I were to say anything with any possible negative connotations about christian God, they'd get mad at me for it (Even if its literally true)

What is this death bed cope, you can benefit from the resources you've accumulated much while you're still alive. If you did not reproduce in your lifetime, then yes it is a failure unless you achieved something great or world changing during that time instead.
