Cashless payments
Registering for services
Etc.

Your privacy is breach and such, you will mentally and physiologically deteriote likely every year due to the screen addiction

You will cognitively decline and become 100x more lazy because you aren't bored anymore. These days there's always a forum to talk to, an app to doom scroll, a game to grind and a new show everyone watches so you have to

I've been weening down myself. I now use this forum like maybe for an hour a day in total. Checking in here and there when I'm free. I don't play much games anymore. Once a day, sometimes none.

It's all cringe and soy-gay. I'm also getting rid of this phone to buy a cheaper minimalist phone. I can't quit technology cold turkey but I can take steps toward a viable future.

I practice basic stuff for most things I need to. No one likes to admit it but it's redundant and gay.

I still browse the gay-ternet obviously but it's also the thing itself that fucks the brains. I think this for a reason I won't get into.

That being said it's still very important tool ofc. But nowadays I'm downloading PDFs of things I need and getting them physically printed. No reason to soy-surf the latest JewTube videos or whatever.

( only reason reason I use the Internet = downloading books, reading discussions and talking to friends )

I use both Qubes OS and Tails OS and I think they're both pretty good. If you're not currently using them Monospace you should look into them. They make internet access inconvenient but not as inconvenient as an air gapped system.

I've only used Tails but found it a hassle honestly. Now I just run encrypted Arch running a VM for general use and very occasionally bare metal for any gaming I still do.

Haven't tried Qubes but I'll definitely look into it now.

It's not glowies I'm concerned about, I hate big tech. Linux Mint has done an amazing job at trying to bridge the gap between Microsoft users switching to Linux, but the gaming is not 100% there yet. Steam has invested a lot of time and money into making gaming more accessible for Linux users and that's how I game now-a-days.
