A furry, in its most basic sense, is someone who likes anthropomorphic animals. It is important to note that you can like them and not be a furry, just like playing tennis doesn’t mean you have to call yourself a “tennis player”. You do not need a fursuit, a large majority of furries do not own them, including myself. They aren’t sold in stores, you’d have to make a fursuit-friendly reference sheet and find and commission a maker (I don’t know how commissioning things works, I’ve never done it before, maybe try looking for some videos on how that works). You also don’t need to be an artist, I have a couple furry friends who don’t really draw. Just a large portion seem to be artists from what I know. Being a furry is simply a hobby and a title you can choose to give yourself if you like anthro animals!
