Its just that when you go to therapy they actively try to diagnose you with things that really xan be attributed to slight quirks

Adhd, could be attributed to repressed emotions bursting out, also not to toot my own horn but i have a lot of ideas and am constantly thinking because i have an okay intelligence so thats another factor, also im a very timid and shy guy most of the time, only thing i could have wrong with me is maybe depression but long walks through nature helps me with that

Okay. You sound like you’re going to burn out because you’re insecure about your adhd. To mask an insecurity is to work hard to prove the opposite and then suddenly you’re burning out because of it. I do believe in feeling your repressed emotions to release them because i did that myself and it helped me a lot. If i did have an easy time getting therapy i would actually do that still.

Perspective change: Imagine a guy who’s going to the gym and trying hard but then he burns out. He’s falling into depression. Then he goes again and does it over years just in and out. He needs to do it alone because he knows no other way and doesn’t believe anyone wants to help him. At what point is it best to give up and admit the need for help?

Im not insecure, i actually think im autistic, but if i am i can handle it

is everyone here mentally ill or is it normal to have a therapist
 
Everytime a therapist wanted to get me tested for something i left. i am just the way i am, no need for medicine that will dull my edge

I'm gonna get tested for ADHD soon. And even potentialally get a perscription. But even my parents said the ideal outcome is to try and get to a point naturally where you don't need the meds.

I suppose you maybe just find that kind of thing in other people

What I mean by that is maybe you occasionally talk to other people like your friends about your problems and that's that.

You yourself might just not have problems enough to get a professional to speak to about it. Nothing wrong with that

There are millionaires with adhd who have people deal with the day to day shit that doesn’t get your brain motivated when you have adhd. If that’s what your parents mean then they’re right. Otherwise “natural” is just a way of saying i don’t accept that my child is different. Your brain doesn’t just change because you try harder

I agree that people with ADHD can still become successful. But that's when they play to their strengths and don't do the stuff they aren't good at

I don't have that option just yet because I'm still in school. So monotonous shit like mathematics bores the hell out of me

They are ignorant. I’m in my late 20’s. I still don’t have discipline. I know people who also have adhd and they are also not disciplined. You need meds to function or society will give you shit for not having a good degree and then nobody will care that you have adhd or mental struggles.
