they all claim to be less likely to cause weight gain, but im literally on 3 of them. Opinions? High IQ only please.

It's possible. Side effects are only rare if you're not increasing your chances of them. That sounds like a simple answer, but that's because it is. In the case of the medicine you're taking, taking two or three medicines that has 'rare' side effect of gaining weight, it no longer makes it as rare. It increases your overall chances of gaining that side effect.

There's more science to it then that, such as how these medicines are digested and what would cause those side effects to begin with. But I obviously don't know enough about medicine to be teaching you about that. It's just simple math, though. You would subtract the probability of not gaining weight from 100% to get the probability of gaining weight.

Why are u on theee medicuhzfeions

fluoexetine
Fluoexetine is well-known to have the side effect of weight gains, prob caused a wreck of the metabolism (T3 & T4 thyroid hormones) and impacting the gut microbiota and his production of good bacterias and hormones. Most likely a spike in Leptin (who increase apetite), and stop the Peptide YY (PYY), Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and Cholecystokinin (CCK), who are known to reduce apetite and improves insulin levels in the bloodstream

I think I understood the connection to everything besides the Leptin hormone. I'm not sure I understand the connection in which Leptin would spike in this case. Are you saying that because of the weight gain, that the Leptin levels would've spiked?

Yeah most likely if a medication has a "weight gains" as a side effect, it's prob spiking the leptin levels, especially if the other ones are shut down, can explains theincrease of the apetite & cravings

Does the medication lower your metabolism or just increase hunger?

hey so while Buspirone is very unlikely to cause any weight gain, there is a low to moderate risk for Fluoxetine and Aripiprazole. Although those weight gains claim to be mostly short-term, combining different medications can definitely have effects on long-term weight fluctuation since your body is being penetrated by external substances. No matter which medication, side effects can vary since we are all built differently. For example, weight gain can in this case be triggered by metabolical changes or fatigue. However, i do not know anything about how your body works nor do i have deeper insights into your lifestyle. I wish you lots of strength though because weight gains, especially if non-naturally inflicted, are a real pain

buspirone fluoexetine and apriprazole
Ok first off this is insane.

Taking all three medications IS NOT NECESSARY AT ALL OR BENEFICIAL. In fact, they can overlap in function bro and literally cause unwanted side effects when taken together. Busp is for anxiety which should be knocked out since u are taking Fluoxetine a SSRI mind you for depression and anxiety, and taking Aripiprazole is borderline useless since u are taking a SSRI, The only reason u should be on Aripiprazole is when first line medications aren't working and u are on a fucking SSRI?

Get off Aripiprazole, Get off either Fluoxetine and stick to Buspirone or do it the other way around. I never suggest people take this many meds unless they are having physical symptoms from terrible anxiety, i could image u feel like a zombie at times.

Normally Leptin decreases appetite not increase, but in this case it could cause Leptin Resistance due to the hormones in the stomach changing, I would assume. Unless I'm misunderstanding.

Yeah you're right, i mistaken it with an another hormone called Ghrelin
So i was saying a possible spike of Ghrelin hormone, not Leptin. My bad
