People nowadays are sedentary due to their jobs/way of living in cities. Walking isn't enough to maintain joints and muscles, so they working out.

I do agree that hardcore gymcelling lifestyle and cruising gear is beyond useless in a looksmaxxing logic, since female gaze is into athletic bodies, but staying is shape is useful to grow older without issues, staying strong is usefuel, having cardio is useful.
