I haven't properly dated anyone in nearly a year now as it isn't good for my mental state but when I was with people you get these 2 different character types.
When the person likes/loves you you can feel this aura where you know that they want to fix things/do whatever it takes to make them work.
And when they've grown bored of you or found someone else it becomes "idm" or "what do you want". If I were to create a fictional villain, no matter how much effort I put into making them have a motive to cause harm, I truly doubt that they could be as scary as one who doesn't care either way.
