When I say fine hair, I just my the diameter of my hair strands is fine, I have dense hair and a lot of hair, and it is Wavy Type 2a/2b. Is a hairstyle like this even possible? Every guide on the internet surrounding fine hair always seems so focused on the hair being thin and lacking density which is frustrating, I just want guides on the texture if that is the right wording?

So gigaspam volume products? Volumizing shampoo + conditioner + blow-dry hair upside down with volumizing diffuser + sea salt spray for thickness and texture + anything else?
that would be it. try not to use heavy products like hair wax and stuff. also the conditioner can weight down your hair so choose a lightweight one
its possible but it may lack volume

This is NOT even a HAIRSTYLE -- he LITERALLY just woke up in the morning and PULLED his hair back. A real HAIRSTYLE requires some trimming and looks very SHARP and FRESH. Otherwise it's just YOUR HAIR.

I just got this today, it is for fine and lifeless hair... I haven't used it yet but they have a clarifying shampoo I own that works great. They have other volumizing products for fine and lifeless hair that look interesting too, like a Volumizing Spray and a Thickening Creme that you apply to wet hair and then heat dry

the look in the photos relies more on density, length, and natural wave than strand thickness. the guy pictured has hair that’s medium-to-long, voluminous, and wavy. the body of the style comes from density and wave, not coarse strands.

you'd have to grow it long enough, and use layering to prevent the hair from looking flat. a light mousse or sea salt spray can enhance the wave. and split ends would kill this look fast, so keep it healthy

True I will have to just trial and error products to see which ones create the most volume

Before and after with the thickening cream holy volume ascension

Ugh you and wild frost both had such high-IQ answers, I already gave her solution but ugh... anyways I asked Chat GPT how much length (LMAO) and they said 6-8 inches on top and sides and then like 8-10 inches on the back... my hair strands don't grow very long on the sides it seems (I guess this is just genetic variation) so I might want to lean towards 8 on top so I can mask the sides

i dunno about the creme because it sounds a bit like its gonna weight your hair down and the hair model is a woman so its easier to style the hair with some kinda curling tool and look volumised, not sure its gonna have a similar effect with your hair. volumising dust and/or spray would be a better way to go

My aunt owns a salon so I might just ask her opinions on that product (it says it is lightweight) or I can ask my hairstylist (I don't go to barber anymore since hairstylist is better for longer hair)

I have thin hair also, so to keep the volume and the density :

1/ Forget about volume-shampoo it's a scam imo. Use regular shampoo to clean your scalp & removing hairstyling products. Gentle dry & cold water.
If you didn't have any scalp issues like dandruff or psoriasis, you can even use a shampoo/soap bar to wash your hair.

2/ Once or twice a week, instead of using a cheap conditionner, use a mix of very light oil (jojoba, argan, hazelnut, NOT Castor oil) combined with 5-10% Rosemary oil and few drop of glycerin/vitamin E, massage the scalp, roots, hair, and leave it overnight in a hair bonnet.

3/ To create & maintain volume, don't wash your hair the very next morning (unless your applied your conditioner) and try to keep to volume you've got during the night by :

- Applying Sea Salt hairspray for volume
- Few light drops of argan or hazelnut, very light oil, to get the shine and wavy hair, instead of fuzzy hair.
- Hair dry for the desired haircut with a female hair dryer with that attachment and a special comb like this ONLY

- Avoid pommade, matte clay, heavy pastes etc and just use a simple cheap medium hold hairspray instead to keep the volume during the day.
