Is a moisturizer the key to fixing dry skin?

I’ve been struggling with dry skin for a while
i have dry skin i use moisturizer myself, it can help but u need consistent routines, i've heard exfoliation works but haven't tried it, i mostly avoid cleansers because they can make my skin even more drier

my skin is damaged by the sun from my old job when I was younger
Sp50 sunscreen, and a moisturizer with niacinamide, glycerin, hyaluronic acid and retinol to rejunevate the skin.
Lock any water loss with vaseline. Skin hydration comes from blood's water so drink water also, esp in winter

A good one then. Something with aloe, glycerin, hyaluronic acid and something thicker to lock moisture like animal/vegetable oil but i recommend tallow, or vaseline it works too
Are single by any chance ?!

Drink plenty of water, avoid hot water, and humidify your room. Using a humidifier in your bedroom will prevent your skin from drying out overnight. If you don't have one placing a bowl of water or a wet towel on top of radiators will also soften the air
