Is curly hair ugly?

Lowk dumbass post but idk I just graduated and I straightened my hair n suddenly started getting attention n ppl staring at me? Like I understand curls in and of themself are cool but i genuinely don’t think they tie into (a lot of) faces as well as straight hair would.

Also I asked the hownormalami ai my rating before and after straightening my hair and i was upgraded by like 2 points after? Dont have many pics but here’s 2 shitty ones (don’t come after me Ik they’re retarded). I could be scizo but I feel like I look less f****t-like with straight hair??

Hair so dry, frizzy and heat damaged I could use it as a sponge to wipe my counters clean, if you got less perms and focused on moisturizers and curl creams you'd do very well

not really. Curly hair is considered a dominant trait. However, styling of course can affect how people perceive it. Your hair currently lands on the more frizzy side of curliness which is still dominant but not the look you want. You probably want them to look more defined or just straighten them.

I’ve never gotten a perm in my life. It’s frizzy and dry because it’s straightened and when u straighten hair ur extracting the oils from it.

Those aren’t my curls that’s my straightened hair, when I straighten it it just gets rlly frizzy; I naturally have 3c+ curls

stop straightening your hair because you will get heat damage overtime learn your hair porosity and curl pattern then you could look on TikTok for routine based on that make sure to oil your hair and do hair masks every week to help if you have breakage or heat damage already coming from someone with 3b/3c low porosity hair

Curly hair isn't inherently ugly; it depends on face shape and features. If you have a rounder face or a more chubby body curly hair can exaggerate said traits. Based on your features, I'd say that you'd be pretty regardless of hair texture, as you have more angular(?) features and a normal build from what I can tell.

On the topic of getting more attention when your hair is straightened, from my personal experience having straightened hair is more common (at least in white dominant areas), and when you look more basic (In this case-more closer to whiteness) you're more approachable.

Lastly, you can take my advice or you can leave it. But judging by the amount of heat needed to flatten out texture 3a-3c+ hair, I would recommend using heat protectant and other things such as hair oiling; to prevent breakage.
