I think I see what's going on here. When I mentioned cuddling, I was hinting at the idea that physical affection can be a way to show affection and intimacy, not just limited to romantic relationships. In the context of being gay, it's completely normal to want to express affection and closeness with friends or partners in a non-sexual way.
