Hypothesis Is it possible to fix a skin issue through getting a sunburn

I recall having a red eczema/rash patch on my arm, was pretty itchy etc, i then went on a bicycle trip with my friends and i got really sunburned, like red peeling type of sunburn, after that the rash thingy just dissapeared and that spot has been clear since, any science person know if this can be a legit method?.
