Is prom in the us like in the movies

Mine was in a club and everyone was drunk and no one went with a guy or girl except those who were a couple already . It was seriously ass .

I'd say sorta. Its better than all the other formal dances throughout high school

We only had prom it’s a bit sad cause all the parties were just with the popular kids so I never got to know lots of people

Yeah that sucks. I'd say most homecomings are usually like this but prom is actually pretty fire cuz there's usually tons of afterparties which p much every senior is invited too, and the event itself is usually hosted in a really nice place.

Even that was bad lol . There were lots of after parties but only the popular kids went and even tho they socialized with the others during prom they still didn’t accept them in the after parties
