As a female myself, women treat each other very differently in comparison to how men treat their friends and I do not understand why, it is just how it is. Through my personal experiences, women are expected to be nothing but nice to each other and they take jokes much more seriously in comparison to men. I notice that men are able to insult or make jokes about their friends and they do not take it to heart and continue being friends, whereas in female friendships, these insults or jokes can tear apart friendships and even end them. I think as this has become common practice and I myself have been victim to women who are hostile and do not know how to take a joke, women have become much more narcissistic over time. Some women just love victimizing themselves in harmless situations which does nothing but escalates scenarios. In terms of friends, I do not understand why it is so difficult for us to just get along with one another, women are just much more insecure in comparison to men.

i fully agree with this. i was bullied my senior year of high school by a close friend, and the girl admitted that she was annoyed by how often i was brought up, complimented, and how all her friends would only talk about me when i wasnt around. despite blocking her on everything and leaving the friend group, it continued until graduation.

i feel like i know a lot more guys who are more accepting of their guy friends. a lot of guy friends i have tell me how their friends hate women, have cheated, are liars, etc etc, but they still stay friends with them. women require everybody theyre friends with to almost have the same morals and views as them, or else they cant interact positively. there are great negatives and positives to both. and of course, this doesnt apply to everybody

there's got to be an evolutionary reason. whenever i introduce two guy friends to each other they hit it off quite quickly and the atmosphere is completely chill. but introducing two girls to each other gives this awful feeling. they barely talk to one another, their body language is closed off, and afterwards they talk shit about one another. and they often don't treat their "friends" that they're more familiar with much better. getting laid is easy if you're willing to put up with women bitching about eachother.

social hierarchy among women is a lot more closed off than in men. imo women are taught from an early age to not be directly confrontational/competitive so it manifests in other less healthy ways. there's also just this baseline level of subtle judgement in the current generation that i think expresses itself more violently in women.

most women are also not likely to branch very far out of a "safe" social circle, so if they meet someone outside of their perceived in-group they react with passive aggressiveness and hostility because we're not socialized to outright avoid someone or just tell them we don't really fw them.

the competitive aspect is mainly with looks, fashion, agreeableness, charisma, ect. this ties into the in-group thing above: the in-group is also a competition of all these things which is why they shit-talk girls no matter if they're in or outside the circle.
