I'm just being real, not trying to break your balls. I don't know what it means, just that it most likely isn't a compliment. Girls don't really compliment a dude by telling him something about himself. They way a girl compliments a man is how she acts around him. Like laughing at stupid shit you say that really isn't all that funny, finding all kinds of excuses to be near your personal space, or quickly removing her attention from anything she happens to be doing at the moment and turning to face you whenever you speak to her.

When a girl tells you something as ambiguous as "you look like an anime character" it shows that she doesn't really care how you might perceive what comes out of her mouth. A girl who is truly attracted to you won't want to take a chance on you misinterpreting anything she says by saying something like that.
