The root cause of BDD cannot be rooted in a valid concern. Someone doesn't have BDD if they have burn marks all over their face, for example, or someone doesn't have BDD if their hair is sincerely gross or messed up. Plastic surgery wouldn't work because it wouldn't treat the underlying condition.

I'm not saying whether or not your physical aesthetic concerns are deemed valid or not, but it's counterintuitive to the disorder itself to advocate for plastic surgery.
