Realistically you are likely around average

Maybe a bit higher or lower

There’s no use trying to convince yourself you’re “muh extremely high iq”

I used to do this

Then I realised I struggled in a lot of subjects to get good grades especially maths

A lot of us are still smart, just in different ways

I’ve always been artistic and been a fan of different media which I spend a lot of time on both

I completely agree but I have a take on this topic that I think needs to be touched on, I will just copypaste it here cause I made a thread on it before

disclaimer: i'm not claiming to be high IQ my self

whenever someone proclaims they're intelligent everyone is quick to state that they can't be if they say that about themselves, now the main reason why people say this is because of the dunning Kruger effect, but the people who say this trying to call out people who call them self high IQ are an example of the dunning Kruger effect themselves

"unlike you who is claiming to be smart, i'm self aware of how dumb I am" you are actually further displaying the dunning Kruger effect because your still basically humble bragging about how smart you think you are

I've failed everything academically speaking so i have no problem admitting i'm more than likely below average IQ

yea sadly when discussing the dunning Kruger effect it just becomes a endless paradox of someone calling the other person and example of it

Whenever someone claims high iq I just assume they are retarded and chopped and their parents beat them
