We start by imagining how we’d explain to someone who lives in a 2D plain how 3d works
To them it would be impossible to imagine how a square for instance the same size as another square could be directly behind it like two sheets of paper of the same size separated by an inch slightly perpendicular to each other that’s how a 2D word could picture 3d
Essentially a 4th dimension would be a second 3d plain slightly perpendicular to another
Time doesn’t exist in a 4th dimension as you can see every frame both of the past and future perpendicular to one and other
