on february 3rd, 2026, i got into a relationship. the first week, everything went fine, calls, ¨I miss you¨ texts, cute instagram notes, all the normal relationship stuff. we went out together february 13th, a week after we go together; this is where everything went down hill. he would treat me badly to the point where i would bust out crying at school and in front of family and friends. he would get mad at me over small things, then refuse to communicate. when i called him out for the stuff that he did that hurt me, he turned it around on me and said i was trying to make him seem like a monster. naturally, i told 2 (whom i thought were trusted) friends about what was going on, i told my best friends, and i made the mistake of telling his girl best friend who i´d been talking to since 3rd grade. throughout the relationship, i was jealous of this girl. he would always talk to her first, always tell her stuff first, and only talk to me half of the time. he would play mind games with me, and say things like "well i already made plans with ____ so boohoo" or similar things. when I would try to talk about what I like and my interests, he would verbally shush me and put a finger over my mouth, he also did this in front of my parents. if I didn't agree with him on things, he would get really angry at me and give me a threatening look, so I couldn't have my own opinions and interests in front of him. He rarely talked about the things I wanted to talk about unless it gave him Intel on me or it had something to do with him. fast forward to march and it only gets worse, more emotional manipulation, etc. I was telling him that he constantly hurt me and he asked me "if I hurt you so much, why do you stay?" I should've known I should have left right then when he said that instead of taking accountability and telling me that he would fix himself. yesterday night, he calls me yelling at me and cussing at me calling me a mossad agent and asked me if I was fucking crazy because I "shit talked him" (I was venting about him hurting me to the friends mentioned before) and I guess one of them (I know which one) ratted me out. He was yelling and cussing, telling me I was insecure because I didn't believe his girl best friend was just a friend to him, I thought he liked her (he would always talk about her knowing it made me jealous) at me telling me not to talk to him his friends or his family ever again, and my mom heard and told me not to let him talk to me like that and that I needed to hang up, so I did. I cried in my moms arms and told her everything that happened, I haven't done that in years. she told me I need to block him and avoid him at all costs because he's crazy. he texted me moments later, I guess he realized he really fucked up for good, and he messaged me a bunch on Instagram asking me if it was over. I said yes, and he was saying how he fucked up and he can't fix things and that he'll "miss me". I didn't buy any of it, I knew he was just trying to manipulate me to stay, and I just said goodbye then blocked him . I then heard later from his girl best friend that he said I deserved to be abused (he didn't exactly say that, but he said I deserved what came to me), called me mentally insane, tried to gain sympathy from her saying it was all my fault in the end, and and a bunch of other stuff . he also said that he still kind of liked his girl best friend and I knew it, he was emotionally cheating on me basically
he also at one point ruined a friendship for me when I was being friendly with one of his male friends because he was being friendly, and he accused me of being in love with him and accused me of wanting to date him. so I was forced to cut him off.
moral of the story, don't let yourself get mindfucked because you think they will change, they will not change and you're wasting your time.
