I always felt insecure about my bottom jaw, not because it's recessed but because it's asymmetrical. I always found myself looking different in photos that people take of me compared to me looking in a mirror or taking a selfie. One side of my jaw has a few teeth pushed inwards, more than the other side. I went to an orthodontist and they said I would need a device to expand the area and make that place straight again. My top row is perfect compared to the bottom. Good news is that I'm getting that device soon and I'll finally be free from that hell of a jaw. YIPEE!

I have a similar problem but in the upper row , it's barely noticeable fortunately

mine is recessed and assymetrical
aren't there ways to fixed a recessed jaw without surgery? also ur jaw asymmetry could be an uneven distribution on fat in the face which is normal
