Waste of time, what is watching the moon cover up the sun gonna improve in my life? Absolutely nothing. And lets not even get started on mentioning the risk profile, there have been already 6 models of glasses removed of the governement options list not even 24h in advance. Imagine you just bought glasses that arent ideal and specialized for the event and you end up going blind. Its just looking at the benefits and risks. Benefits: Watching the moon cover up the sun partially (bc in Portugal theres not even a single place with complete coverage of the sun), something that the next week you wont give af about and will not have improved whatsoever your life at all. Risks: Having partial vision damage to lose total vision (not even a super rare case scenario). I think im good staying home G

Secondly, i dont know if you realized but you didnt dismiss my point at all, "its just five minutes", yeah five minutes that could ruin your entire life completely just to watch the sun be covered up, retarded asf. And if 6 glasses were banned without even a day in advance you cant really trust that the ones you bought are also effective enough to not cause you any damage.
Im not being miserable at all, its not to hate normie activities or something similar, i could put many examples of activities that are leisure and dont have such a high risk profile, like roller-coasters, bowling, etc... (much more entertaining then watching a star getting covered btw).

Like i said, and prove me wrong, but you prolly havent even looked at the science behind the model of glasses you just bought and why those glasses by a specific mechanism makes you not go blind while looking at the eclipse, its just trusting ppl you dont know that realistically only want your money
