just learned about Auditory Processing Disorder (APD)

i was searching about a problem i have in which i often hear people but can’t comprehend them, and i have very bad trouble with following instructions especially if they’re longer, i simply can’t comprehend.
i always found that to be one of the main reasons i hate socializing, and talking to people makes me feel like i’m “dealing” with them


just learned about APD, and it’s brutal as theres therapy for it but no cure, GIGA neurodivergent trait. i most likely have it

it’s not a hearing problem as an literally hearing problem, i can hear sounds perfectly fine

and that’s the thing, i hear it, but i don’t, closest thing to describe it is when someone is talking to you but in your mind it sounds like complete gibberish
