it actually does work tbh
In high school I was ugly, bullied, had very little friends, and was NOTHING like I am today
When I went to college I had the opportunity to reinvent myself, but I was still 16 and had very little access to money, so I did the easy stuff like fraud into being more social and relatable, getting better style etc
But this still wasn’t enough, I got my first job paying £6.50 and started to invest properly in my appearance, I started messing about with my hair, got a fake ID to start tanning and getting fillers
But this STILL wasn’t enough for me! I was at college which anyone could get into, and still had a very easy to achieve appearance, so as I started getting more fillers, and then when I started studying incredibly hard, I got into a top 10 uni in the UK in a great city (known for its partying), but then my appearance wasn’t enough, so I knew I had to do more. Using my student loan I was able to invest even more in my appearance and eventually saved up for a rhinoplasty, now I have a great social life, have more surgeries planned, and literally get money for the way I look! All because I larped about who I really was when making the transition into college
It makes me sad sometimes that other people didn’t have to work as hard to achieve the life they have, but I’m happy with the position I am in, and my life can only get better from where it started.
