Notice how the instrumental is louder than his own voice, but it works really well because the instrumental is telling us a story as he sings and avoids becoming invasive when he's rapping. This results in a really nice melody that not many songs seem to achieve in this era.

Why other musicians can't achieve LIT killah's level:
They use the instrumental to carry the song and change its rhythm to hype the listeners up, not to tell a story or harmonize with the singing.
