Hey everyone,

Firstly, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who took time out of their day to fill in the survey I sent over in March - I appreciate it :peepoLove:

I've complied all the information into an article you can find here (inb4 tl;dr): https://looksmaxxing.com/community-survey-2025/

Key Findings

  • Youth Vulnerability: 58.4% of respondents are under 18 years old, with 70.1% identifying as students.
  • Surgical Interest: 49.1% of total respondents – and specifically 45.5% of teens under 18 – are considering surgical procedures (e.g., jaw surgery, hair transplant) in the future; 69.2% believe surgery is a valid part of looksmaxxing.
  • Societal Pressure: 65.3% of participants reported feeling societal pressure to improve their appearance.
  • Life Impact: 70.9% noted changes in their lives since beginning looksmaxxing, with 87.1% of these individuals describing the changes as positive.
  • Mental Health Concerns: 55.5% acknowledged experiencing stress, anxiety, or other mental health issues related to looksmaxxing.
  • Community Division: 45.9% would not recommend looksmaxxing to others.
  • Media Representation: 50.3% feel the media does not accurately represent the looksmaxxing community.
  • Top Three Motivations for Looksmaxxing: boost self-confidence (72.6%), improve dating success (50.9%), meet/exceed societal expectations (49.1%).
I gained a lot of extremely useful insights from the responses, so thank you all for providing your honest and unfiltered thoughts.

I've included a bunch of quotes from the survey in the article - so you might find yours in there!

If you have any feedback or suggestions for the next survey then I'd love to hear it!

Enjoy your weekend guys.

Interesting

thanks man i really appreciate it :peepoLove:

it actually took a while to put it together
Yeah it was a good read. It makes a lot of sense that very few people actually follow through with their surgical plans.

I don’t think I’ve seen any active user that was a hardmaxxes outside one

looksmaxing js helps everyone. U cannot be done looksmaxing till you are about 30-35, there is always room for improvement and ascending in age is way more brutal than is youth so start as young as possible and work your way up. Hardmaxxing can be mental damaging tho

Mirin people lying in the surveys. Clearly 90 percent of respondents are under 18 years old
nah there's definitely a good % that are above 18 too, mostly under 18 years old tho

i'd also say hardmaxxing can be the opposite of mentally damaging too (i.e. look at all the people who have had successful hair transplant surgeries for instance).
