Love is just an investment in an another person and like everybody you don't want to lose it

"Love" exists, and it means you're the best option of someone, and (s)he's your best option. Like both of you invest in it and don't want to go to see someone else

Being best option of someone means high sexual/physical attraction, combined at what you bring into the relationship : wealth, health, offsprings, care, time, fun, sacrifices etc etc

Sure I think it exists. Just think that it’s rare and doesn’t necessarily happen romantically. I think platonic love or love for a family member is way easier to come by. Romantic love still exists but that’s more of a dicey topic imo cause it’s always also based on superficial attraction. Then you see two grey haired 80 year olds still together and then that gives you hope. But then you think maybe they’re just still together because they put up with all the BS from the other person. But maybe that’s exactly what love is. Being with them despite those flaws. I think you could philosophise for hours on this.

Personally I haven't really had that knock it out of the park chemistry with someone i've slept with. I don't really believe in that deep true love. I think there's ardor, and a honeymoon phase.
