I wear protective contacts for a condition I have and when I wear the ones with a blue hue I get crazy compliments but not without. blue hue but not too dramatic.

Mine… in real life people can’t tell but for whatever reason I’m camera they look silver or green. So it makes me look like a lizard lol

lowk what's your real eye color? bc I find that colored looks better overall on ethnic people's irises (color pops more on brown, mine dosen't as much because I have green eyes under). but it just looks way less natural. like if you're asian with blue contacts it's creepy and dosen't match your pheno. I had intense blue ones, looked weird upclose but because I'm white with a scandinavian pheno it didn't look creepy.

but i still prefer the more discreet ones.

But on selfie vids they look silver/green and I look kinda scary. I’ve ordered darker brown ones but if I’m gonna fraud I might as well go all the way, no?

get something more in green vibes or lighter brown. the ones I wear are air optix color 2, they have prescription in them, not so expensive and lots of black women have try-ons for the colors on youtube where you can kinda tell what it would look like with your skin. I think hazel or honey would look great on you and elegant with outfits like the one on that picture. you've got a great eye area.

reason it looks a little uncanny is because you don't seem mixed and most black people with blue or grey eyes are so they kinda have a phenotype that matches, and it looks less fake. the halo for blue eyes only kinda works for some white people, otherwise it kinda lowers your rating.

maybe you dont need darker ones, but instead ones that fit your pupil size better and more blending. maybe the photos dont pick it up, but for me it just looks like your contacts are one solid color and then has a limbal ring. maybe try one with blending colors in streaks like real eyes have.

i think the limbal ring is good, without it would be bad too. you just need more dimension i think. the pic i posted werent contacts, it was just an example of what color blending and light reflection looks on eyes without contacts.

I’ll try to find bigger contacts then, I don’t think they’ll ever reflect off light though, contacts can’t do that I think
