well it depends if the ‘trend’ of looksmaxxing made someone develop an insecurity or reaffirmed one they already had
if neither then most people would move on easily yes, they never had any reason to express genuine interest in looksmaxxing nor did they develop any, from their perspective they expressed interest purely because of it’s popularity
yet it seems, due to the general mental state of the public these days, the trend of looksmaxxing has only become a confirmation of people’s preconceived insecurities, which doesn’t really allow them to move on easily without pursuing procedures or self improvement
it doesnt really appear as just a short term meme to me i think it will have a lasting impact but idknif this makes sense anywa
