I’m sitting at the bar & this guy tells the bartender to add my drink on his tab (he whispered so loud we all heard him). I never acknowledged him.

When the bartender says, “someone already took care of your drink”, I said, “omg, thank you!”.

The guy never says anything. I continue to mind my business.

As I’m getting ready to leave, the guy tells the bartender she got confused and he didn’t say he would pay for my drink.
