Most men do the "Squint of doom" to try to make their eye area ratio seem better.

The issue is, it looks like a resting bitch face. And you wonder why women never make the first move.
You look like you're so fucking angry at something that you'd kill her if she asked the time of day.

The "Male Squint" largely relies on the Corrugator Supercilli to draw the brows down. It does, of course, visually change the face. Eye area looks better due to pulling orbital rim skin up, eyebrows look thicker, thirds ratio looks better, eyes themselves look sharper / focused / more intelligent, etc.
The issue being that this is a very asymmetric look. Psychology has shown that for evolutionary reasons, there are a few "universal" emotions in the face. Anger is obviously one of the most important ones to recognize, so this specific arrangement immediately triggers a negative reaction in whoever sees it.
So, what's the difference between what men and women do for this "subtle posing" of the facial muscles?
Women use the Orbicularis Oculi to fake a "Duchenne Smile" with only their eyes, aka Smizing. Women have been taught this at fucking birth apparently. This is another extremely important emotion to recognize evolutionarily, performing the opposite effect of the "Anger" face. However, Smizing still raises the orbital rim skin, creating the same eye area. Below are some examples of men "Smizing". Observe the tensed muscles, but it clearly does not flash "Danger" like the former.

However, it doesn't achieve as many of the "focused / alert / intelligent" effects due to the relaxed eyebrows.. it is possible to combine them, but I would say at that point it's highly personal to what you are trying to achieve with a default look.
TO SMIZE:
There are a billion cues for women out there on how to do this, but if you have decent control over your facial muscles, think of the top and bottom of your eyelid (slightly beyond the outer corner of the eye) pinching together. You should get a feel for controlling this muscle.
It's very easy to train it as it's a large and fairly consistent muscle, which brings many other improvements. "locking" it into your default resting face is just a matter of training it as much as you can so the muscle naturally becomes strong enough to overcome the antagonist muscle heads.
